For many, many years we have used our local potato merchant “Lamberts Potatoes Ltd”. Like ours, it is a family run business, and always provide us with the best crop of potatoes.

Sustainability and Suppliers:
All of our cod is responsibly sourced and MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) approved, meaning that it comes from sustainable fisheries helping to preserve ocean fish stocks. Our Haddock comes directly from a local supplier and we buy fresh where possible.
Our secret batter recipe is the same one used for over 100 years, created by man who started the business. Its simplicity helps to ensure the crispy batter that French’s is well known and loved for.
All our products are cooked in sustainably sourced, RSPO certified palm oil. Not only is palm oil a healthier option as a frying medium, but it also allows us to cater for Gluten Free diets, as well as
vegetarian and vegan diets too.
Where possible we strive to use environmentally friendly packaging. All of our food trays are made from a
compostable, biodegradable material, which has been sustainably sourced, and we have converted to using paper/card packaging throughout the shop - rather than plastic or polystyrene. We also supply compostable wooden utensils for customers to use.
